Anticipation! (Lotsa of it...)I can't wait to start on my Business Processes exam paper!!!Haha, you guys must think I'm nuts to actually look forward to taking an exam. No, Im not actually looking forward to the paper, per se, but rather to what comes after the papers. So want to get the exam over and done with. So looking forward to post-exams days that my dreams are filled of holidays and Christmas caroling and lightings. I can hear the Xmas' bells ringing! So close now..... ;)Shoutout to My dearest friends, We can definitely make it through the mugging and exams. Appreciate the times spent encouraging, working hard for all those projects and entertaining each other during boring lessons. all in all, It was an hectic yet simply awesome term! Made meaningful friendships along the way. Thank God for blessing me with wonderful teammates who never hesitate to go the extra mile together to deliver quality work for every project and report submission. =)

Week 14 a.k.a Study WeekWeek 14 in Smu culture signifies the start of a 1 week mugging marathon. And what better way to start it than to have a sushi feast. Haha yes, you heard me right, my study week started with a sushi feast with 5 other uni girlfriends. We decided to head down to the new Sakae Sushi at Park Mall to binge ourselves crazy before mugging real hard for our exams. So we left the rest of the super chao muggers behind in the library and abandoned all our study plans for that evening and strolled happily over to Park Mall. It was just so liberating to leave the 'suffocating' environment of the library. It was really great fun eating, talking and bitching about school work with the girls. Goes to show that we dont really need guys around to have fun ;) Anyway, a steamboat session after exams are in the planning process (this time round with the guys in tow). Bingeing session again. Great! Such a pity, I didnt bring my digicam else, you can see for yourselves how much we ate this evening. Every inch of the table was covered by plates of food.-------------------------------------------------------------Marie's birthday party was great fun as well, good dinner, drinks and supper. Always nice chilling out with the girls. But the highlight of the night was really the chance to drive a super modified Honda Integra (thanks to Nina's boyfriend). Now, I know the reason to as why guys like fast cars. It was a totally different experience driving a sports car and a normal car. Just a tap on the accelerator and I can hear the engine rev up. The noise is kinda annoying though. Well, driving a sports car might be a thrill ride but... at the end of the day, I'll still settle for a comfortable and quiet ride. Haha so that I can doze off comfortably in the car. Let's countdown,.8 more days to the start of december vacation!.

You think its over?!Naaaaah.... Far from it!Im talking about my music east & west module here. Just when I thought the whole module is over and done with, we were told by the Prof we have a music track project due straight after exams. And its 40%. Great.... Now what? Anyway, if you're bored and still want to hear me rant.. Our job basically is to do a 30 minute commentary on 5 pieces of music (and this is not your normal run of the mill kinda pop, R&B, rock, whatever music). There're panpipes music, indian and malay pieces.. Oh man, what I am gonna comment on? This is seriously reliance on bullshitting skills... --------------------------------Anyway, on a cheerier note, I'm gonna sing sing sing (lotsa lotsa singing during the end Nov and Dec!) And no, I'm not talking about Karaoke singing, I'm talking about Praise and Worship singing.First, singing for my friend's wedding at Sentosa and then caroling for Christmas! Its gonna be exciting 1.5 months. Awesome! A good way to wrap up a great year!I love caroling cause its nice spreading God's love around! And it was really heartwarming to see people's smiling faces when they hear us sing our hearts out during last Christmas. Truly meaningful to touch the lives of others during the festive season.

My Amateurish Video-Making Skills.
It is his 23rd birthday this coming saturday, which is tomorrow. How the weeks fly by... That's besides the point. Anyway, for undisclosed reasons, I decided not to ship over a present to Oslo. I think only Marie knows the reason. Haha.
Instead, I made a birthday video for Jax. So here goes... (oh, there's music added as well.)
Yes, Nothing fanciful, but it sure brought a smile to my face when I looked through the tonnes of pictures we took. Oh well, we do annoy, bicker and get on each others' nerves ALOT, but at the end of the day, we never fail to laugh at ourselves and the silly things we do for each other. I reckon most of our mutual friends who hang out with us would know by now, thats how we are.

Youie, If you read this...
I miss you! Miss catching up over coffee, watching movies and laughing over small matters with you.
And when you get back home from Oslo, I'm gonna give you a big bear hug!
By the way, post up your pictures from Lilliehammer and London! Your blog's seriously collecting dust.

The 7 min walk back home.Usually, I'll take 7 minutes to walk back home from the train station. And most days when I'm alone, I'll just take the bus home since I never liked the solitude of walking home on my own. Somehow, this evening was different, for the rare times, I appreciated the time walking home by myself. 'Cause I had my Mp3 with me and I was just listening to Praise & Worship songs. Feels like I wasn't alone. And I walked real slowly, so slowly that people walking behind had to sort of overtake me. Most likely, they can't stand walking so slowly behind me. Let them overtake me, I'll just take my own sweet time walking back. C'mon, what's the rush? I feel that we are so prone to getting caught in the hurried-ness of the world. Well, folks, please take the time to enjoy your surroundings, take time to walk a lil slower, smile more, laugh out loud more, worry less, gripe much less, and you'll definitely find your footsteps a tad lighter. This walk home reminded me of one I took 3 years back after a meeting with my church friend whom I lost contact with a while back. The feeling felt strangely the same; serenity.

Happy Farewell to my Banduria !!!
I say, Good riddance!
Haha, bye to 2 months of playing the banduria, bye to my swollen/peeling/bleeding fingers after hours of practise. All the moisturiser wouldnt be able to restore my skin back to its original smooth and soft condition. Urgh.
We had a good performance though, felt proud of our Rondalla team. Anyway, it was more like a Kim Chi team. Cause, we had 3 Korean dudes (exchange students) in our group. They are not exactly those "Korean soup dramas' hot and cute looking actors" material. Haha, but they are damn funny people! They asked us to teach them how to speak Singlish! So the girls explained using sentences with Lah Leh Loh to provide examples. Whats so interesting about Singlish. Sigh. Only foreigners find it facsinating.
Anyway, we took truckloads of pictures after our performance. I'll miss Rondalla for the people, not the playing of the string instrument.
I think I look darn "I mean Business" in this picture. So glum-looking.

The End is Drawing NearAnd I can't blardee wait for the presentations, quizzes, assignments and exam to be ALL over. Woohoo, just 3 more weeks. Week 12 now, which means 13,14,15 to go! Annoying obstacles to post-Week 15 days includes the following1) Marketing research assignment no.2 and Quiz no.32) Business Processes Write up No.43) Marketing Research final presentation (MR seriously gets on my nerves, all those stats stuff is driving me near to bonkers state) Oh God, help!4) Business Processes Final exam (thankfully, I have only ONE exam to sit for)In retrospect...Seriously, I must admit majoring in Marketing is a slack way to go through varsity life since marketing mods are non-examinable. BUT! the projects will leave you gasping for air. Profs expect Ra-Ra presentations with super cool video clips, presentation slides (if you use Photoshop, more brownie points for you, that goes without saying), role play and other fanciful stuff. We have to exude confidence when we speak and no referring from scripts. There you go, presentation style of marketing students in SMU. And when it comes to report writing, its not just report on plain old boring A4 paper. We present reports in mazagine style on glossy paper. Sheesh, I remembered we did that for my very first project in SMU and we got an A+ for that. Goodness, and its like the norm now. High expectations. Thats why they put this so called "articulate & confident'' attribute over our heads. We are literally pressured to speak well, carry ourselves confidently. Its like nature vs nurture kind of senario. See...With that, I'm so so so looking forward to my year end vacations. I'm going to somewhere (not sure where thou, still deciding) with my uni girlfriends (fingers crossed), Shanghai with my family and Bangkok for cheap shopping on Christmas day itself. Coolness! I can count the days spent in Singapore with both hands.Wouldnt it be good, if we can have a fast forward function in life. Just fast track to the holidays and totally glossed over the exams. Anyway, time does flies when you're busy and having fun.P/s: Jax, since I dont see you online these days, just wanna tell you I've just received the postcard. Thanks, thats sweet of you. My parents and sis said Hi back!

Randoms[Its gonna be an awesome Sunday!]Im so gonna sing my heart out during this coming sunday's "Come Bless the LORD" concert in church. Thats the awesome event I'm talking about. So much has happened lately, so much blessings and joy that I feel this event comes at the appropriate time to truly tell God how awesome He is. Its pure 3 hours of singing, worshipping and praise. Haha, eileen, perhaps you wanna join me for this event. Anyway, I'll be singing a great deal this month. I'll be singing for my church friend's wedding held at the beach. Cool, a beach wedding. And there's United Live concert at the Rock auditorium. [Life & Friendship]Life is a contradiction. Its boring right now yet, so much meaningful events have been happening around me. I see lives tranforming for the better. Friends going back to church. Long conversations over a cup of coffee, more laughters and less stress. I can feel that Im in a different chapter of my life now. A supernaturally joyful start to a new season that is not determined by superficial friendships and materialism rather, a life that holds more meaning and purpose. No more drudging along in life without a clear goal and purpose. I'm seriously thankful for all the lovely friendships I've made with both friends of old and new. Thank God for them. I've learnt alot from them lately and is deeply encouraged.Best friends are like the bacon bits in the salad bowl of life!Strangers are indeed friends waiting to happen. How apt. Every friend we have are just strangers before the first Hi."Without friends no one would choose to live, though he had all other goods."- Artistotle "My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me."- Henry Ford True friends are indeed God's angels on earth.

"Indoor smoking makes air 28 times more polluted"I was flipping through the newspaper this morning and I read this shocking article of the polluted-ness of air in indoor places such as clubs and pubs. And this is what I've found out:The National Cancer Centre has conducted a global study on indoor smoking and air pollution in over 400 locations in 20 countries. It found that in Singapore, the air quality in pubs and eateries which allow indoor smoking is 28 times more polluted than smoke-free sites and outdoor venues. When the skies are clear and the air quality is in the good range (at a Pollutant Standards Index reading of under 50), there are about 15 microgrammes of PM2.5 microns per cubic metre - a level that doctors say is acceptable to public health. PM2.5 are fine particles that are small enough to go down the airways and can be cancer causing. When the PSI hits 300, it means there are more than 251 microns per cubic metre. The study has found that it takes just two lit cigarettes, in an enclosed room the size of a HDB bedroom, to generate 622 microgrammes of pollutants. (GASP) That is an air quality that is almost two and half times more polluted than when the PSI is at the hazardous level of 300. Woah, that means the second hand smoke we're inhaling in indoor places is more hazardous than when the PSI is like 150; the worst of the haze period. You must be kidding me. All those times at clubs breathing in disgusting second hand smoke... Ew. Even second-hand smoke can raise the risk of lung cancer by 30 percent. In October, the smoking ban was extended to all public eating places like hawker centres. And from next year, Singapore is banning smoking in pubs, clubs and karaoke lounges. I say, good move! Applauded. We can now club and chill in peace now, without worrying of breathing in PSI 300 air. Haha.By now, you should know I'm super ANTI-smoking. =P
