Conquer the roads of Singapore!Thats what Im trying desperately to do these past few days and nights. I'll grab every single opportunity I have to drive my dad's car. So far, I've drove from Changi to my home, Home to Bedok's Ba Chor Mee place and around humble Bishan. Next up: to my grans' place in Sengkang. It's really a bittersweet kind of experience. On one hand, a tiny part of me is pulling me back from driving since roads in Singapore are hell to drive on especially in peak hours and crazy places like town where you totally have to be dead-darn aggressive in order to overtake in any sense. Still, I won't pass up the chance to get myself familiarized with the roads and most importantly with the car. Im so gonna get used to driving to my fave hangouts. I have planned my driving iternary: 1) Sengkang (not that I like hanging out there, my grandparents' place see.) 2) City hall area (which includes my school) 3)Fave makan places 4)Zouk, Clarke Quay and MS (all pending... I bet my dad will make a big fuss if I ask him to allow me to drive to these places.) 5) My girls' homes. (to give them a ride) if its along the way lah. Blame it on the high petrol cost nowadays. Aww... How sweet can I be man? lol.

Dad, Where's My Car?!
*Hint Hint*
My aunt smsed me she has a good deal for a 2nd hand Jazz. Haha. Her expat boss's wife is planning to sell her new (less than a year) baby blue jazz since they'll be leaving Singapore soon. Trying desperately to get rid of the car and is very willing to sell it at a affordable price. Hmm. Keeping my fingers crossed. Anyway, on the way back from my gran's place, my dad commented that he's thinking of getting a Mercedes for me. GASP! Haha, shell shocked. But no, thats not the end of what he meant. What he meant was an OLD Merc (those kind that Uncles drive). LOL! erhhhhhh... Good intentions my dad has, BUT............... Anyhow, it'll be cool if an acquaintance (years down the road) asked, "What was your first car eh?!" and I would say, " A Merc!". Haha, then I'll hope he/she wouldnt ask me the model. In case he/she does, I'll most prolly say, "I don't remember lei.". Snigger. Pray that my dad is just making a passing comment about getting me an old Merc, nothing more than that please.
And know what my lil boy couz said when I asked him a very important question today?
Me: Boy-boy, will you want to sit in Big Jie-Jie's car when she drives?
Him: (shakes head)
Me (feeling disappointed): WHY NOT?!
Him: I'm scared. Later, I'll get a heart attack!
F.A.I.N.T.S
To think that for the past 9 years, I doted on him the most! Sigh, all those money I spent on Esprit t-shirts, chocolates, Abercrombie cap and Nike bottle for him has gone down the drain. LOL! Just kidding. I still love him to tiny bits! And I shall prove him wrong!.

A new addition to the road!
Taadah!
Woohoo! YES! I passed my Class 3 driving practical test! I have never been so happy and relieved at the same time in my entire life! Im serious. This day next year, I'll need the Probation Plate no more! Can't wait to bring my family, friends and darl out for a spin =) haha, they'll surely let me take them for a spin? Won't you guys?! *snigger* Goodness, the lives of all 5 passengers lies in my tiny hands. (Dont worry, tiny hands they are, but I can be considered a safe driver. Afterall, I got 8 demerit points only for the test.) FYI, in case you do not know, under 20 demerit points and you'll pass.
Now, I have to keep my fingers crossed for my own car. I dont really care if its brand new, 2nd or even 3rd ( I hope not.) hand car. I'm happy as long as I can drive as frequently as I want to without fretting over driving my dad's monster of a car. His Honda Odyssey is way too long a car to manage on my own.I remember Marie commented that the car looks like a sausage dog. Lol. And imagine parking without reverse sensors. Yes, you heard me right, my dad don't believe in reverse sensors cos he's seriously good at parking and hence no installation of reverse sensors on his car's bumper. But poor me, I'm not feeling too confident about parking the car without knocking into something. Not that I'm lacking the confidence, but do picture me behind the wheel of the Odyssey? See what I mean?! Im the kind of girl who looks good behind the wheel of a VW Beetle or even better, a MINI! ha, but no way my dad will buy a Beetle or a MINI for me.
Oh welllll.....
Nevertheless, I'm still on Cloud 9. Teeheh.

Desperate Boredom Makes You Do Silly Shite. After hanging around the totally blah Bugis Junction for like hours with nothing interesting to do, we decided to go take "Neo-prints" (words from the Era of Mini stickers pictures madness). haha, I thought I took the last of them in Year 2002. Boy was I wrong, I took the first Neo-prints in 4 years (and Jax, his very first attempt (Gasp!)) yesterday at Bugis Junction's Tokyo World. The goddamn place is still a thriving business after all these years. (I'm seriously amazed at its longevity)
I think we spent about half an hour deciding which station to take the photos in. Most of the stations are turn-offs with the "oh so (act) cute jappie girls in their uniforms" pictures. Finally we settled for these....
Wa-hahahaha, I would never believe I would take these kind of pictures ever in my whole life. Well, expect the unexpected. *Eat your words, girl!

Will you just look at his face (the right picture)?! It reads, "What on earth was I thinking of when I agreed to take this sorta silly prints?!" lol. well, yes, silly, but I got a kick out of persuading him (finally) to take these pictures. It turned out, he had his fun adding those sparkly add ons to the pictures for decor's sake. Since it's his virgin neo-print taking, credit should be given for his above amateurish finish touches to the snapshots. Ha.

Shite. It dawned on me, two dreadful events are happening this coming week. Event No. 1:
Summer Term 3B
Event No. 2:
My driving practical test
The former means that my school term starts one month prematurely before the official school term on 16 August (Gees..) That means, less shopping, less MJ, less slacking, less tanning and MORE school shite. Shite like project work, assignments, class participation and tests.
The latter... Oh well, nuff said or rather enough complaints already. I'm just gonna keep my fingers crossed for my driving test.
.Good luck to me.

Tioman Getaway!
We ate, slept, hang out at the beach, played Dai-di, drank beer, snorkel & Slacccccccck!
Life is good.
Well, shall I let the pictures do the talking?!
The Hotel Reception. We stayed at Berjaya Resort, A tad too overrated thou even though it may be the best resort in Tioman.
The place we had our first lunch. Just look at the nice setting. Ain't it a slacker's paradise?!!
Our lovely bed. I just love warm cosy settings.
Whats a holiday without booze, MJ and Dai-di?! By the way, A bottle of Chivas Regal whiskey is dirt cheap. In fact, all the booze in Tioman is dirt cheap! Tiger Beer like 2 Rm which is around 1SGD. How cheap can beer get man? Goodness, a can of beer in singapore costs like 7 Bucks (easily). Beer lovers, Tioman is THE place to go if you wanna indulge in loads of beer drinking. Im just happy with my bottle of Corona. Heh.
Seafood. The other cheap thing you can get in Tioman. And Im really surprised the food there is actually yummilicious. Never underestimate ulu places. Food there is simple yet good.
OooH, THIS is what I'm talking about. Cheap booze. Smirnoff for 35RM. (Gasp!)Malibu, Kahlua, Moet & Chandon, Chivas Regal, Johnnie Walker, Absolut Vodka and Bombay Sapphire. You name it, most prolly the duty free shop we went to in Tioman sells it. From the outside, the shop doesnt even look one bit impressive, yet it is a hidden gem for alcohol freaks. haha... But the sad thing is, you can't bring alcohol out of tioman.
The peeps who went.
haha, doesnt he look touristy? (with his floral shirt)
Oh what can I say? My best lovelie=)

Hips Don't LieI love MTV! Esp. when it comes to the top ten best music videos. Anyway, I just watched "Hips Dont Lie" the music video. And its really funny the way Shakira shakes and wobbles her way through the entire music video. I know alot of people would insist she's dancing, but I see it as more shaking and desperately trying to dance instead of real dancing. Dont you think? She shake so much that it makes me giddy just looking at her belly wobbling...... Dont understand why some guys find her a turn on. (HUH) In my opinion, the PCD's lead singer can dance (and way better than Shakira.) Their "Buttons" video is sizzling hot! My eyes were literally fixated on their superb dance moves. Perfect choreography. Why guys find them hot, I can understand. I think they're hot too. =) Not pretty, but HOT.Another video worth checking out for the dance moves:Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man" The Cheesiest ever video right now at the moment: (I think Marie will agree with me totally)Drumroooollls..... PARIS HILTON'S "STARS ARE BLIND"Faints. The title itself tell you how cheesy the lyrics will be. And May and Choy's accent irks me to no end.Nevertheless, There's still some good left in MTV..MTV rocks.

Have I found Mr. Right? That's the question every girl in a relationship wants to know. Well, I found my answer in a very silly tongue-in-cheek manner. The silly manner being, a Tickle test. Here's what my choices say:" While you've got a great head on your shoulders, you like to lead the way with your heart. And that's what's telling you that this relationship is "the one." It's simple --- you know how to make each other laugh. And you both know how to use humor to diffuse heated arguments and tense situations. You have great confidence and admiration for your guy, even if he's sometimes a little silly. It doesn't matter if your mother-in-law shares your sense of humor or not. You know that she'll learn to love you because the goofy guy you both adore does. That's no joke."hah. know what, I think the above answer is pretty much accurate. The reason why I adore my guy to tiny bits is well, his goofiness. That look of his reminds me of an adorable teddy. (I better pray he's not reading this.) Which reminds me of this chinese show I watched where the actors were giving this analogy of a relationship enlikening it to a pot of tea --- In the beginning, the pot of tea (the relationship in this case) is fragrant and sweet. As time goes by, the tea in the pot goes bland without adding in more tea leaves. so, the point is in a relationship, the beginning is sweet and things are novel and interesting, Somehow, as time passes, the novelty wears off. Thats when we have to make the effort to inject more 'life' into the relationship.urps, why this post? No idea. Cant really explain. Its kinda 'huh?!', I know.

A day of sun, sand, sea and DAI-DI.Yes, you saw the last word, Dai-di correctly. If you are clueless what Dai-di means, it means Big Two in English and it's a form of card game. Anyhow, we as in Youie, Marie and I spent the whole afternoon at Siloso beach playing Dai-di. *Faints*Do not under-estimate the addictive power of this simple game. We played for hours on end. Oh well, it all started on last monday while waiting for the World Cup finals. I got hooked on Dai-di then. haha yes, I just picked up the game (more like, finally understanding how to play the darn game.) last monday. Don't laugh. The reason why I only love playing the game only now, is the sudden yet simple relevation of the rules of the game. All thanks to Marie and Youie who taught me how to play. Its fun, seriously. And did I mention addictive? Totally. Even more so than Mahjong.. For now, that is. -----------------------------------------------
The sudden way I took a liking to Dai-di made me realise that I hate to be the sore loser. Im such a sucker for winning most times. When I sucked and kept losing at a particular game, I always try my best to avoid playing that game. Initially, I hated Dai-di because I just dont get the rules right. I had no idea which suit is the biggest. And the idea of not knowing made me hate the idea of playing the game. Thats the case for bridge as well. Perhaps, you guys should let me win alot of rounds of bridge so I'll like the game. haha!..... cannot la, I have to change this attitude of mine. So childish. Reminds me of kids who burst out in tears when they lose in hopskotch and computer games.

Brazilian Wax or Not?
Wonder why the Brazilian wax is known to be the Brazilian Wax and not something else?Because it was first introduced to New York by seven Brazilian sisters. Interesting! Thats why its called the Brazilian wax... and wonder why on earth am I so curious about BW and why this sudden 'out of the not so ordinary' topic, BW?Well......Im contemplating if I should get my virgin brazilian wax and hence this research.. And heres what Ive found off the net,1) Most waxings occur in a private room with a door. I have heard of some with just a curtain between you and others. You remove your pants & underwear & lie on a table with clean paper or sheets. It is possible that you could be provided with a paper thong, but chances are... you won't. 2) You only need about a quarter-inch of hair for the wax to grab onto, your waxer will start by trimming your pubic hair to the right length. (geez...)3) The best waxers are fast, which means less discomfort for you. The waxer will dip a waxing stick into a pot of hot wax & then spread it onto your skin & hair. She will then apply a cloth strip over the still-warm wax, pressing firmly so the cloth, hair and wax adhere to one another. When the wax has cooled, she will pull the strip off, in the opposite direction of your hair growth, pulling the hairs out by the root. (ouch!, loads of pain, you bet!)
4) Waxing usually starts in the front & moves toward the back. You'll likely have to move around in all sorts of odd positions (sheesh) in order for the waxer to do her job. 5) Its recommended for waxing to be done more than 1 week after your period. Skin will be less sensitive by then. Tips:
The procedure, like any waxing, can be very painful at first, but frequent visits usually cuts down on the pain factor. I suggest taking a couple Advil at least 15 minutes before your procedure. As for the embarrassment factor -- we like to think getting a Brazilian can't be any more embarrassing than a typical visit to your gynecologist's office. These aestheticians have seen it all before. The downside of a Brazilian wax... while it lasts as much as 3 weeks, the hair will grow back & you'll have to do it again. Another downside... hair has to be a certain length before it can be successfully waxed. Another down side... you might experience red bumps or ingrown hairs.Well, since I have a relatively low threshold for pain, I seriously doubt I can get over the pain factor. So, I guess its a NOT then. For now. ha! I might consider if any of my girls wanna accompany me to try a brazilian. A somewhat tall order, but sigh, imagine not fretting over unsightly hair when wearing a bikini... so, any takers?!

Flabbergasted
Why oh why did Zinedine Zidane did what he did? What was he thinking when he sent a senseless headbutt into Italy's defender, Marco Materazzi. One of the legendary football figures in his generation was sent from the world stage to an awful retirement by that senseless headbutt and undeserved red card. The referee is a blardee idiot for the lack of sympathy, (cant he just give him a break?) last game of his career and sent him away with a red card to end it. It was truly a tragic and cruel end. What a pitiful shame to Zidane's glorious career. Nevertheless, the man still deserves credit for countless acheivements and inspirations.

Binge Mania
Yet another food post.
Oh yes, oh so glorious food, one of the things I love talking about. Sadly, the only kinda food i eat (or binge on) lately is junk food. haha icecream, chips, pizza, fries, you name it, i think i ate it before. I ate junk food like almost everyday in Canada, and now when im finally back in singapore, i binge non-stop on them too.
So boy, was I so darn happy when my dad decided to bring us to Bedok Fengshan (the famous ba-chor-mee place) for dinner last evening! OoOo... bbq stingray with loads of yummy ayam chilli, hokkien mee, black carrot cake and my favorite ah balling peanut tang yuan. i lapped and slurped it all up! haha im amazed at how much I ate last night. ha! Later in the night, when I went for cell group, I continued bingeing on chocolate and nougats at my cell group friend's place.
Sheesh. I shant weigh myself anytime soon, I still want to live in self-delusion about my current weight.=======================I love sundays! I get to hang out with my extended family; My granny, grandpapa, my aunts and uncles and my cute cousins (who is really growing up so much so that they dont call me big jie-jie anymore =(.... unless I asked them to call me. Sighs). Kids nowadays dont call you unless being prompted to. All thanks to X-box, Playstation and Nintendo! They're so pre-occupied with playing games that they can totally forget about your mere existence. Oh, where have all the good ol' storybooks disappeared to eh?!
Anyway, the whole lot of us went down to Club Street (no, we're not going clubbing. haha ya, thats lame I know..) to pig out on pizza at this restaurant, Spizza. Seemed like we booked the whole place cos we were the only ones there.. The food there is pretty good, I must say. Plus, you can actually watch the chef spin and prepare your pizza right before he throws the thing into the oven to bake it. Pretty cool huh. In all, I think I ate 5 different slices of pizza, beef lasagne, calamari, mushroom soup and these puff pastries in a time frame less than 2 hrs. had a blast eating with my family especially watching my grandparents eating the pizza. hehe, they looked so cute (if thats the word) struggling to eat the pizza. The thing is totally foreign to my grandma (she hardly eats pizza, see.) My grandma was like, "very nice!" after the meal.. lol! Glad to see she enjoyed herself.
Sighs, love my family =) esp. my beloved grandma and grandpa who have always been there for me.

Chocolates: A girl's favourite
Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get. - Forrest Gump
how apt for this post. Well, chocolates are what this entire post is about. And, not forgetting the wonderful company, the people who have been in my life since I was 13 years old. I love chocolates best when its enjoyed with my favorite folks in the world.
Drumrolls please for pictures of the superbly sinful yet yummilicious Fullerton's choc buffet sponsored by our dear birthday girl, Shirong.
