A lazy afternoon spent at Granville Island

After morning class yesterday (monday), we went back to Granville Island again! Cant get enough of that place. Granville Island is just this small part of town with a huge public market selling all kinds of gourmet food. Alright, let the pictures do the talking...

The View opposite Granville Public market. Thats Yaletown, A really high end part of downtown with multi-million waterfront apartments. Lovely.

The Canadian flag with the symbol of the maple leaf. Maple trees are everywhere in Vancouver. Its sort of like a national symbol for Canada. By the way, Maple syrup is yummilicious.

Vanny and I sneaking a snapshot after lunch of fish and chips. The fish and chips there are soft and crispy but SUPER OILY.

Vanny, me and dawny. The girls I hanged out with all the time there. We shopped, bitched about the other nasty girls in our rooms, eat, slacked, study together.

And here's the guys we hanged out with. Damien and Weiloong. We took the same SQ flight hence we are kinda closer. Damien (the one with the shades) is our permanent map reader and our driver down to seattle. He's really good at directions.
Beer!!! The round of tasters we had at Granville Brewery

As Usual, snap before drinking.

I took a truckload of pictures and I really wanna show them to you guys. But blogger just cant seem to let me upload more than 8 pictures. Grr.. Its alright, save them for another post.

By the way, after Granville, we cant help ourselves. We went down to Robson St since it was just 2 or 3 streets away. This time round, Damien went with us. And lemme tell you, the guys in our group can really shop! I think they can give us girls a run for our money when it comes to shopping. Damien bought this ZARA leather shoes for 99 CAD. Which is like (99x1.4)SDG. (ha, sorry, lazy to calculate the amount) Anyhow, its pretty expensive. But it looks good. At least, he has some taste in shoes and clothes. I do think the guys in our group really behave like girls when it comes to shopping. Why I say that:

1) They're more excited about the seattle trip. Not because of the sight seeing but the shopping at the factory outlets.

2) They bought loads of stuff from the factory outlets. (all except Weiloong) Ian bought the most.

3) They wear their new clothes immediately the next day!!!! oh my goodness, i thought most girls do that. Bought new clothes, wear the very next day. Walau, Im actually amused. haha

4) When the prof asked the whole class, what was the best thing in seattle. Ian shouted shopping at the factory outlets!! GOSH, my friends and i were giving each other the look of amusement and disbelief when he said that.

The guys in our group are indeed different. Or at least, thats SMU guys for you. Always conscious about their appearances, meticulous at their dressing and splurge like there's no tomorrow. Oh well, they're rich.
